The Husband and the Forgotten Wedding Anniversary
Eddie was in trouble.
He forgot his wedding anniversary and his wife was really pissed. She told him, "Tomorrow morning, I expect to find a gift in the driveway that goes from 0 to 200 in 4 seconds AND IT HAD BETTER BE THERE".
The next morning Eddie got up early and left for work. When his wife
woke up, she looked out the window. Sure enough there was a small box gift-wrapped and placed squarely in the middle of their driveway.
Confused, the wife put on her robe and ran out to the driveway. She brought the box back in the house. She opened it and found a brand new bathroom scale.
(Funeral services for Eddie have been scheduled for Friday)
Too often we underestimate the power of a touch, a smile, a kind word, a listening ear, an honest compliment, or the smallest act of caring, all of which have the potential to turn a life around. - Leo Buscaglia
