Didn't realy know whether to put this under "General Discussion" or "Centerfire Benchrest". So I guess I'll put it under ''Centerfire Benchrest" since I know more of the benchrest shooters.

This test features an unlikely, completely fictional situation in which you will have to make a decision. Remember that your answer needs to be honest, yet spontaneous. Please scroll down and give due consideration to each line.

THE SITUATION

You are in Flordia, Miami to be exact. There is chaos all around you caused by a hurricane with severe flooding. This is a flood of biblical proportions. You are a photojournalist working for a major newspaper, and you are caught in the middle of this epic disaster.

The situation in nearly hopeless. You're trying to shoot career-making photos. There are houses and people swirling around you, some disappearing under the water. Nature is unleashing all of its destructive fury.

THE TEST

Suddenly you see a woman in the water. She is fighting for her life, trying not to be taken down with the debris. You move closer. Somehow the woman looks familiar. You suddenly realize who it is. It's Hillary Clinton!
At the same time you notice that the raging waters are about to take her under forever. You have two options-- you can save the life of Hillary Clinton, or you can shoot a dramatic Pulitzer Prize winning photo, documenting the death of one of the world's most powerful women.

THE TEST QUESTION

Here is the test question, and please give an honest answer.....

Would you select the high color contrast film, or would you go with the classic simplicity of a black and white photo??

i would go with the black and white. it should give it a more dramatic feel.

High color for me. I'd like to enjoy the scene over and over and over..........

I gotta say, Black and white. Nothing quite like it for the truly Dramatic.

I would have to agree black nad white would be the way to go. I would toss rocks at her though to speed up the process.

It depends on which camera is heavier. I'd throw her that one and take the picture with the other.

I use a digital camera. I'd shoot in color, and later on I could convert it to B&W if it looked better.

Shoot digital. A rotation of the dial will permit a change from color to black and white. Or if there is so little time that you can't do that and shoot two pictures, most times you can convert a digital color picture to black and white...

Swift water rescue requires a team of highly trained and equipped individuals. I guess I will have to settle with taking photographs.
