In The Beginning
In the beginning, God created Heaven and the Earth. And from this Earth he created Man, and named him Adam. God watched over Adam from heaven and after a while noticed that Adam appeared lonely.
So God went to Adam and stated, " Adam, I've been watching you and it appears to me that you could use a companion." Adam told God that he was lonely and asked God what he had in mind. God stated that he would give Adam "The most beautiful creature that he had ever seen. He would call this creature woman and she would be his wife." God continued by saying " This Woman will obey your every word, bear your children, cook for you and your family, tend your home and please you in what ever way you desired."
Adam thought about what God told him for a while and replied "Lord all of this sound so good and it would make me very happy to have this woman with me. I only have one question Lord, what will this woman cost me?"
God replied to Adam " An arm and a leg."
Adam pondered for a second then asked "What can I get for a rib?"
The rest is history.
