South: RV’s sporting school flags begin arriving on Wednesday for the weekend festivities.
HOMECOMING QUEEN
North: Also a physics major.
South: Also Miss USA

South: Louis Vuitton duffel with two lipsticks, powder, mascara (waterproof), concealer, and a fifth of bourbon. Wallet not necessary; that’s what dates are for.
TAILGATING
North: Raw meat on a grill, beer with lime in it, listening to local radio station with truck tailgate down.
South: 30-foot custom pig-shaped smoker fires up a dawn. Cooking accompanied by live performance by Jerry Jeff Walker, who comes over during breaks and asks for a hit off your bottle of bourbon.
CONCESSIONS
North: Drinks served in paper cup filled to the top with soda.
South: Drinks served in plastic cup imprinted with the home team’s mascot, filled less than halfway to ensure enough room for bourbon.
WHEN THE NATIONAL ANTHEM IS PLAYED
North: Stands are less than half full.
South: 100,000 fans sing along in perfect three-part harmony.
THE SMELL IN THE AIR AFTER THE FIRST SCORE
North: What smell?
South: Fireworks with a twist of bourbon.
AFTER THE GAME
North: The stadium is empty before the game ends.
South: Another rack of ribs on the smoker. While somebody goes to the nearest package store for more bourbon, planning begins for next week’s game.

I surely do miss the 90's. Good times, good times.
That still is literally true here in Nebraska. Program has lost its way, but the fans haven't gone away. My mom, who has watched maybe half of a game, has a good short story about that. An out of state customer called one Saturday looking for directions and commented how great our roads were. Mom asks how so and hears "well it's wonderful you have no traffic, we've been driving an hour and have only seen two or three cars." "That's because they're all in Lincoln. Now, you said you were from Texas? Sorry, I don't have that address you were looking for."GETTING TO THE STADIUM

I can't bring myself to go to the OU stadium unless USC is going to play. Sooners suck...what the hell's a sooner anyway?
Just because your sign off after you're shift is done, doesn't mean that it's over and put blinders on. You're a cop 24/7 wether you like it or not. If thats something you can't handle, you should find a new line of work!

NO DOUBT THERE!!
I actually think my USC hat MAY lead to me getting fired from my current job...my boss just asked me "why is that urinal on your head?"..
OH..go down to campus corner, BOYD and ASP or ASH...there is a place called FAT Sandwich company...go get a FAT MAGNUM....lol
500 fights, that's the number I figured when I was a kid. 500 street fights and you could consider yourself a legitimate tough guy. You need them for experience. To develop leather skin. So I got started. Of course along the way you stop thinking about being tough and all that. It stops being the point. You get past the silliness of it all. But then, after, you realize that's what you are.

Do you really not know? Or are you just suggesting it's a stupid mascot?
Oregon football resembles most of the southern descriptions on the list. Autzen Stadium is pretty small, only about 60,000 seats. But every single game sells out, and has done so for years. Lots of players, coaches, and referees have all said that it's the loudest stadium they've ever been to. I managed to be down on the sideline for kickoff one year (before security realized I wasn't supposed to be there) and it was absolutely deafening."I'm not a coward,

I'd like to think that if I was,
I would pass"

I'm not downing your school but I can't believe that Oregon's stadium could possibly be louder than L.S.U. With 92000 strong ever home game even the upper decks are deafening. Well that is when the Tigers are playing another S.E.C. school or a non-conference team that can compete. Our current head coach found out just how loud the stadium is in his first S.E.C. opener. He came on the field with one of those spiffy looking ear pieces, traded it at halftime for the big muffs due to not being able to hear what plays were being called. They don't call it Deaf Valley for nothing you know.

Well I've only been to one other college football stadium, so I can't say either way from personal experience. But I've heard a lot of officials, coaches, and players who have been on football fields all over the country and they're the ones that have said that Autzen is the loudest.
Obviously the number of fans at an LSU game will create a lot more sound, but Autzen has a large roof that redirects sound back toward the field. It's the acoustics, not the size of the crowd."I'm not a coward,

I'd like to think that if I was,
I would pass"

hate to get in a pissin contest about whose school is best. (im not even going to bring up my favorite school as being loud) but tiger stadium on game day has got to be the loudest stadium. you can literally hear it a mile away, and thats with it half full. now im not an LSU fan, but damn thats impressive.

not bad for a stadium that doesn't look fully enclosed

check it - different games, different perspectives
enjoy

the sound delay is horrible btw, plus it seems that LSU fans can't keep a straight beat
on the next one, but it's from the field, so what ya gonna do

Man that reminded me of VT when I watched the video. Good crowd.
When VT beat Miami a few years back ending there winning streak the place went crazy and the Miami people got scared and bailed out. They thought VT was going to start a riot.
The way the stadium is built its like a big sound funnel or something.
Just found this one and its much better.
