Think I'll cook some this weekend. Great idea!
Tomato Gravy - bacon grease, flour, stewed tomatos or tomato juice, seasoning. Some folks add green onions.

Fried dill pickles are good, but I can only eat a couple or three. They seem too salty/rich or something. They are pretty popular around here.

Just because your sign off after you're shift is done, doesn't mean that it's over and put blinders on. You're a cop 24/7 wether you like it or not. If thats something you can't handle, you should find a new line of work!

Does anyone have the biscuit recipe so i can try them,
If at first you don't succeed, then bomb disposal probably isn't for you.

Never argue with an idiot. They will bring you down to there level and beat you on experience.

    Famous Buttermilk Biscuits

    Ingredients

    2cups Martha Whiteģ Self-Rising Flour
    1teaspoon sugar
    1/3cup Criscoģ All-Vegetable Shortening
    3/4cup plus 2 tablespoons buttermilk
    melted butterOR melted margarine

    Preparation Directions

    1.Heat oven to 450 degrees F.
In large bowl, combine flour and sugar; mix well. With pastry blender or fork, cut in shortening until mixture resembles coarse crumbs. Add buttermilk; stir with fork until soft dough forms and mixture begins to pull away from sides of bowl.2.On lightly floured surface, knead dough just until smooth. Roll out dough to 1/2-inch thickness. Cut with floured 2 1/2-inch round cutter. Place on ungreased cookie sheet.3.Bake at 450 degrees F. for 12 to 14 minutes or until golden brown. Brush with melted butter. Serve warm.

TIPTo substitute for buttermilk, use 2 1/2 teaspoons vinegar or lemon juice plus milk to make 3/4 cup plus 2 tablespoons.

    Prep Time: 30 min
    Cooking Time:
    Serving size: 12 biscuits
This is the one I use but I bet Buttercup has a better one.
