I have a bunch of Calvin and Hobbes books at home.

    Excellent stuff.

I wish I knew how to open .zip stuff.

    You FAIL at the internet

Download WinZip. It's free (well, technically it's shareware, but you can use it for free forever).

I'm going to go on a limb here and ask you guys not to get Bill Watterson's work for free. Or if you do, go to a book store and buy some of the books. One of the reasons he stopped writing the strip was the bastardization of comics and the decline of respect towards the authors. He has publically stated in interviews that he is against syndication of any kind as it cheapens his work. Any CandH stuff you see on tshirts, etc, are against his wishes and without permission.

Just keep that in mind when you're viewing his work free.

+1. Thanks for the reminder. Personally, I doubt he sanctions the Calvin peeing on whatever number that I see on the back of trucks here, either.

I also had all the books in junior high and high school, but I'm not going to go out and buy them again

GPF no need to justify it to me. Just keep in mind that unless the publisher put it out there, it's a violation of copyright and against everything that the author wanted his work to stand for. That's not me preaching, but rather what the author himself said in a pretty lengthy foreword in one of the books (maybe the last one?). He was basically a childhood hero of mine, and his sentiments have always stuck with me. I was sad to see the strip go.

I'd like to collect all the books. I liked Calvin and Hobbes because it reminds me of growing up in the country without brothers or sisters at home, no one around to play with much. I had all kinds of adventures, using my imagination to play. My "Hobbes" was a part german shepherd part collie dog.
    Good times!
