Busted a former trainee of mine doing this very thing. She was humping him in his seat while he drove out of the line. Drunk as hell. I reported him to the Chief and I got in trouble. I couldn't stand the little shit.

Ha! Nope. You would have to understand my area. The former officer was a favored officer with the Chief because his dad contributed heavily to his campaign fund. The reason I said anything at all was because he was observed by several members of the public and the sheriffs office. Being the only member of the PD at the time on scene and they were all looking at me. So I interceded, sent them on their way and informed his immediate supervisor who informed his supervisor. That person made me write a statement. The problem was that this officer was an idiot and I told him that on several occasions. He also flunked his last FTO phase. He was a golden child so the admin passed him on. The statement I wrote was forwarded to the Chief who thought I had it out for the officer and he got pissed off that I wrote the report and he passed the message along that I should stop being vindictive and leave the officer alone.
It didn't matter. The officer was fired twice. Once for bad mouthing the Chief and finally for being thought to have stolen money from a crime scene.
