IF A small child can see...

I went to have dinner with some friends yesterday. They are really good people but they are liberal democrats. As we were eating dinner we were talking and I asked their small child what he wanted to be when he grew up. The child told me that he wanted to become the President. I asked the child what he would do when he became President. He looked at me and said, the first thing I will do is give houses and food to all the homeless. His parents were smiling ear to ear just beaming over the answer their son gave. I then said the the boy, why wait to become president to help the homeless? I will make you a deal, you come to my house once a week and I will let you cut my grass, weed my garden, and wash my cars. I will then give you $50 and take you downtown to where the homeless people hang out. You can pick one homeless person and each week you can give them $50 to help them get a place to live, and some food. The boy looked at me for a few seconds and then said, Why don't you just hire the homeless person to cut your grass and he can earn his own money.
I then looked at the boy and said. Welcome to the Republican party.
His parents have not spoken to me since.
