MADISON, Wis. (AP) - Police in Kenosha have posted a video on their web site of their version of the "12 Days of Christmas."

Officers sing about gifts from their chief that include budget meetings, bullets, guns, a third-shift assignment, case loads and traffic duty.

One officer is shown with his feet up on a desk sipping coffee. Another is shown with a box of doughnuts, his nose and cheek smeared with jelly. An officer who gets a gift of eight traffic assignments tosses her radar gun out of her squad car window.

A blurb on the site, http://kenoshapolice.com, invites people who need a laugh "during this hectic time of year" to click on video. It's situated above a link to a recruiting video.

The first 4 minutes are funny.

Police Officers put themselves at risk for strangers every day. Some do not make it home to their families. Next time you think of saying something negative about the police, remember...YOU are one of the strangers.

I love the innocent look on the untrained rookie's face and the bored look on the officer giving talks to children.
