Journalist's Firearms Guide
Part of the AP Style Guide I think. It all makes sense now...
That which does not kill me, better start fucking running.
If I lived every day like it was my last, the body count would be staggering.
I intend to go in harm's way. -John Paul Jones
Hunt the wolf, and bring light to the dark places that others fear to go. LT COL Dave Grossman
I'd be a better people person if I was around better people.

It finally makes sense
'Political Correctness is a doctrine fostered by a
delusional, illogical liberal minority, and rabidly
promoted by an unscrupulous mainstream media, which
holds forth the proposition that it is entirely
possible to pick up a turd by the clean end!'
“A fear of weapons is a sign of retarded sexual and emotional maturity.” Sigmund Freud

"When plunder becomes a way of life for a group of men living together in society, they create for themselves in the course of time a legal system that authorizes it and a moral code that justifies it." -- Frederic Bastiat
"Certainly there is no hunting like the hunting of man and those who have hunted armed men long enough and liked it, never really care for anything else thereafter." Ernest Hemingway

Don't forget, every handgun a police officer carries is a "service revolver"
The world would be much cleaner if blind people carried brooms instead of sticks.
At communion, when the priest says "Body of Christ", I say "Thanks, I've been working out", then I grab the cracker and run back to my seat

They've got us surrounded? Good. Now we can fire in any direction. Those bastards won't get away this time.

SI VIS PACEM PARA BELLUM-Ex-Sheriff Martin Howe to Will Kane in "High Noon"
"It's a great life. You risk your skin catching killers and the juries turn them loose so they can come back and shoot at you again. If your honest , your poor your whole life. And , In the end , you wind up dying all alone on some dirty street. For what? For nothing. For a tin star."
Far from being a handicap to command, compassion is the measure of it. For unless one values the lives of his soldiers and is tormented by their ordeals , he is unfit to command.

Would have been entertaining to see the "Saturday Nite Special" defined. Oh yeah, and the cops are supposed to shoot them out of the bad guy's hands just like onTV. By last commercial break everyone goes home after the "group hug".
Everyone has their own perception of reality, most LEO and emergency services live in it, experience is reality. Johnny Cash once sang in a "A Boy Named Sue" ("in the mud. blood and beer").
Those occupying daytime desks and business hours (cubicle-car-home) set out on the divergent path, allowing others to interpret and define the world. Those who can only draw on "second hand reality", often get it from a "credentialled" but un-experienced or agenda-warped source. Based on the weight of the source "credentials" alone, the content is accepted valid as presented, and the pseudo-reality is carried further into their daily life and decisions. They too become credentialled without physically touching that, or what, they claim as their expertise.
(1) Lawyers on the Politician evolutionary track are probably the farthest from reality.
(2) Media types who never were stringers in the field are close second place.
(3) (fill in)
The average 220/5150, on or off thorazine, is probably more aware of the world, and likely more inclined to babble truthfully than (1,2) above, due to lack of personal agenda or profit motive
Be sure to check the footnotes...
Some people come into our lives and quickly go. Some stay for awhile and leave footprints on our hearts. And we are never, ever the same.-- Anonymous
Old People, like me, may not be around to witness the destruction of our Nation. The rest of you may not survive the collapse. We all have the sworn duty to prevent it.
The light of hope burns brighter than the fires of doom.
