True story!!
So last week I respond to a "harassment" call that turned into a civil issue. So I am patting the subject of the call down and I find a knife in his right back pocket. I go down the leg and start on the left side when I feel something wet around his left rear pocket. Just as I feel the wetness, the overwhelming scent of shit fills my nostrils.
the subject turns his head towards me and says "Damnit I just shit my pants." I can handle corpses and most dirty house cases but I literally began dry heaving! I finished the pat down, told him to stop calling the neighbor names and washed my hands for about 20 minutes.
not more than an hour later I arrest a drunk for assault at a bar after a short foot pursuit. Halfway to the jail he tells me he just shit his pants.... about a minute later I smell it.. When we got to the jail he had the shit halfway up his back.
That was the night I can say I was a real shit magnet.

SI VIS PACEM PARA BELLUM-Ex-Sheriff Martin Howe to Will Kane in "High Noon"
"It's a great life. You risk your skin catching killers and the juries turn them loose so they can come back and shoot at you again. If your honest , your poor your whole life. And , In the end , you wind up dying all alone on some dirty street. For what? For nothing. For a tin star."
Far from being a handicap to command, compassion is the measure of it. For unless one values the lives of his soldiers and is tormented by their ordeals , he is unfit to command.

Ha, reminds me of a guy I arrested for OWI 3 weeks after getting my first pick-up for a squad. He fell over during the HGN test, and shit himself (the runny kind ). Didn't realize it until he was in the back seat of my squad...which has CLOTH seats. I had to clean my CLOTH seats for about 30 minutes, 10 minutes of scrubbin, 20 minutes of gagging. The next day I went and bought a vinyl car seat cover.
