Silent Monk
A new guy entered the monastery. He was informed that he would have to take a vow of silence, that could only be broken every five years, and then he could only say two words. He agreed and for five years, he spent the day praying and meditating. One day the head monk came to his room and told him he could say two words. The monk looked at him and said, "Cold room." Five more years went by, and the head monk came back. This time the monk looked at him and said, "Bed hard." Five more years went by, and this time the monk told the leader, "I quit." "Well," said the head monk, "that's hardly a surprise: You've done nothing but complain since you've been here."
For the morning will come. Brightly will it shine on the brave and true, kindly upon all who suffer for the cause, glorious upon the tombs of heroes. Thus will shine the dawn.
Winston Churchill
