Did your Diplomat have the rear door and trunk features i.e. falling off the back due to the frame breaking?? Our contract mechanic in Yakima loved to see me and the Aviation Sgt bring in our two garage queens ( '82 Diplomats) for another long visit.
I'm old enough to to remember real silver coins, and when Hwy 99 was the only N-S route from Olympia, WA to the Border. I remember police call boxes and the longwave antennas for police band just above the AM broadcast band (1700-1800 kHz).Some people come into our lives and quickly go. Some stay for awhile and leave footprints on our hearts. And we are never, ever the same.-- Anonymous

Dimmer switches should be on the floor, push button shifting was crap - still is even though Dodge made it a dial, speaking of which, remember taking a dislike to people with a 9 in their phone number? Not 911 since we didn't have that back then. All the municipal/county service numbers posted by the phone, and remember it's the Sheriff after 6pm.

On the serious side, I'm so old I remember seeing the news reports on the war and thinking that when a boy grew up he had to go in the army and go to Vietnam. Two of my brothers went, I just assumed that it was what you did.*************************"It wouldn't take much for me to up and run...to another life somewhere in the sun."
