Sometimes we all have a bad day and start a new thread that turns out to be really stupid or else goes way off topic. Is it possible for us to delete a thread that we started? Maybe this has been discussed before, but this site is getting HUGE and I don't have the time to research a year's worth of posts.
In all the areas of the board I'm allowed on Brad and Will allow editing of posts. I've posted stuff I later regretted often enough on boards across the net and just edit the post with a "NM" or "Nevermind" That's pretty much understood and it's rare for people to inquire further.
If you mean a thread with responses other than your own - usually that's just going to be embarrassing. You can always ask an admin or mod to delete it, but once someone has replied the net etiquette is usually such that the thread stays.
As a practical matter, it's sometimes worse to get a thread deleted. Next thing you know people are asking how the board is run, etc. Most threads will go away of their own accord in time and be buried such that they really don't matter.

Awhile back I wanted some threads deleted due to poor judgement when I posted them
I had to have Brad do it.
Now I'm curious. What were they about?
Deleting threads is something that only a Site Moderator or Site Administrator can do.
I wouldn't know, all my threads are golden nuggets of magical thoughfulness :D
