For anyone else who can't wait, you can modify the hosts file on your computer to use any short name you want for your common web sites.

But I suppose only if you are a leet computer geek.

It tells the computer what to look for when you type in a resource locator, like www.whatever.com

You can modify it to eliminate security issues or make shortcuts to certain web sites.

In order to eliminate security issues, you set known security issue web sites go to loopback, which means they won't pop up.

In order to make shortcuts, you set known friendly web sites to whatever shortcut you want to use.
