Domain Name
Oh computer people, is it possible to get a shorter domain name for the site that will re-direct people to this site. When talking to people about the site, I think a shorter domain name would be easier to remember. Of course the domain we have now is pretty obvious, but just a thought.

Actually MIB, we have been talking about this for about a month and It is something we are going to do. We are looking for options at this time. We currently own 4 domain names for the site. But we are looking for something catchy that is shorter. We will not get rid of our current but we will add domains and they will all link to our site. Thank you for the comment!
Now for your homework Think of different domains and see if they are available. Then Pm me what you find out!

As I am not as tech savvy as others... if the domain is registered to someone else and has an expiration date can it be purchased on that date or do the "owners" of that site have first pick?

I think it depends on the domain hosting company. Most websites usually keep a pretty good idea on when their domains are set to expire so they dont lose them. Originally Posted by Illiy

As Reca said, we have been thinking about this for a while now. As we expand, and become something more than just a forum, it only makes sense we have another domain name besides LawEnforcementForums.
