Rep power

So if everybody starts out with 0 rep power which I assume means that you have no power to rep anyone until you actually get rep from someone but everyone starts with no ability to send rep how do you get rep points?

Just out of curiosity....how many posts do you have to have to increase your rep power??

I have 146 with this posting, and I only have a rep power of two.

How long till your "repping" of other people starts showing up as green or red??

I have a decent amount of gray on my User CP from people repping me.

I think the gray ones will never turn green - gray is what you go from people that don't have any rep power - they can't give green - or red.

Even if they get some power - the grays they already gave will stay gray.

I don't know why I give any at all - it's like spitting in the wind for me - since I can't help anyone out. Force of habbit I guess

Ok I changed the numbers on the Rep System so everybody can start getting rep sooner

Here's what they were changed to..

Register Date Factor
For every X number of days, users gain 1 point of reputation-altering power. 30

Post Count Factor
For every X number of posts, users gain 1 point of reputation-altering power. 10

Reputation Point Factor For every X points of reputation, users gain 1 point of reputation-altering power. 10

Minimum Post Count How many posts must a user have before his reputation hits count on others? 50

Minimum Reputation Count How much reputation must a user have before his reputation hits count on others? 10

Daily Reputation Clicks Limit How many reputation clicks can a user give over each 24 hour period? Administrators are exempt from this limit. 100

Reputation User Spread How many different users must you give reputation to before you can hit the same person again? Administrators are exempt from this limit. 5
