Double Login

When I first go to the forum website main page, I log in to the site. I see the login redirect message then it brings me back to the main forum page, and shows me as being logged in. Then when I select any forum to enter, it suddenly shows me as not being logged in anymore. Once I log in for a second time, then the site works like normal for me. This has only been happening to me for the past 2 or 3 days. I use Google Chrome to access this site now, and have for about 3 weeks, with no other site problems until this one. It at first freaked me out because I wondered if it could be some kind of phishing deal where someone could be trying to get my password (yes I get paranoid online). Any help that can be offered would be appreciated.

Are you using a hard connection or wireless/aircard? Anytime I loose signal for any reason for any length of time the site makes me log back in. Since I loose signal all the time this happens quite often.

Its been doing the same for me for several months. I just figured it was some oddness on my end and ignored it. It doesn't happen every time and it seems worse at work.

It just did it to me for the first time using Firefox.

I've got the fix for people having this issue that started from the last 2-3 days

Yeah it's only done that the past couple days, but just now I was able to log in like normal.

So, Whats the fix? It does this to me as well, and I'm on Firefox.

It's been happening to me all day today. It's the first time I've ever had an issue with it.

The double login problem is still happening to me. It happens no matter what computer I use or what browser I use.

Yeah, it's been that way for a long time for me. Even if I check "remember me" which I don't since Hannah87 uses the same computer as I. When she logs in, it's usually 3-5 times before it will remember her for the session...

Hmm, I've had the double log in problem dating back to this thread, and like most others it "stuck" after the second log in and never had an issue afterward. No biggie.

Since sometime yesterday whenever I click the Recent Threads link it leaves me logged out. I try to log in while on that page it doesn't work. No error message, just sends, updates page and there I am still in guest mode. Seems to be ok so long as I avoid that page.

Deleted O/R cookie. No change.

Tried on FireFox 3.5, Chrome and IE 8 on this computer, IE 7 and FF 3.0 on another machine. No changes to settings or software on either over the past few days.

Anyone else running into this?

I have not had the problem you are describing but I am still getting the double login most of the time.

This is really strange. I have not had a login problem in months, not since before this thread was started. I opened this thread and all of a sudden it's happening. I can't stay logged in. Every time I go from one place to another I have to login again.

Mack - you getting that even if you don't click the Recent Threads link? Just that page that's trouble for me, and of course, I'm used to hitting it every other click

My original problem was cleared after wiping ALL history, cookies, and temp files. However, since yesterday, (like others) if I try to click on recent threads or try to log in from Officer Resource | Police Officer Forums, Police Resources, Officer News and Articles it will immediatly log me out. If I go to new posts, forums, usercp or anything else I've tried so far, it is fine. But as soon as I click recent threads, I get logged out.
