Problems with delayed emails
Anyone else having delayed emails from the server? I'm set up to get auto-emails from subscribed threads. I'm getting emails today from posts that happened yesterday. Yesterday, it was posts from the day before. The emails haven't even been in chronological order.

I deleted all cookies and signed in again, but it's still happening.
Am I screwing something up in my settings here?

I have not noticed the issue, but staff will keep their eyes on it.

Post #16 just received. http://officerresource.com/forums/f5...36/#post445975
Posted at 1353, received it at 1800. Had already viewed the thread a couple times. Still getting others from other forums in a timely manner.
FYI, there has been no issue so far with anything from O/R going to my Spam folder. Everything has, and continues to, show up in my inbox.

Everything for me is coming right through.
I suspect it's your email service, there may be lag on their servers. If you have another account, try changing your email to it and see if it has any effect. That which does not kill me, better start fucking running.

The two other boards I go to are still instantaneous. I just now got a notice from O/R of a PM that was sent at 1515 this afternoon. It was received at 1920.
I'll change email addresses and see if that doesn't fix it.

I'm curious to hear if it changes or not.

Mine are set up for forwarding and I get them fast. I don't think it's the site, I think it has to do with what's between our site and his computer. Check the headers on one of the emails that took forever to get to you and see when it was sent by the original sender (OR.) That will tell you whether it's a problem with the site sending it or something in between.

I'm not a computer genius, but it seems like it's being delayed as it's routed through the server. My original email is a yahoo address as is O/R's. It's just not working correctly. Hell, I even got a NEWER notification of Xiphos posting here, THEN got an older post from this same thread a little bit later.

I edited your email addy.

It looks to me like the email is generated at the right time but yahoo doesn't receive it until several hours later. I don't know if it's sitting on our host's server or somewhere along the way. I tend to think it's the route to your yahoo that's gumming up the works. If it were our server or host it would likely affect all of us. But once it leaves our server the message is going to take a different route for each of us depending on the destination.
In fact one of those routes to you may be gummed up and sitting on the emails, while a secondary route to you is working fine. That would explain why some come through fast while others are hung up.That which does not kill me, better start fucking running.
