What's the cap on "reputaiton" points here?
How high can a person go?
And where do I cash them in for money?
It is like poker chips, isn't it?

Their is no "cap" on reputation points. A member can go as high as potato.
No, it's not like poker chips.

Can we convert them to CDI points?

Is that the magic high number? 214,748,000?

Rep Points should be earned. It has been said that some people are sending rep to people for no reason in hopes that rep is sent back! YOU KNOW WHO YOU ARE.

Uh, how high is a potato?
There’s a promise I need you to make
While I’m gone you take care of the love
And I’ll deal with the hate.
Don’t worry about me; I’ll be all right
Just care for your children and sleep tight
I’ll keep you safe on my watch tonight

Well I have to say that there is a cap. I tried to rep Virginian for his "Value of a Drink" post and his meter didn't budge.

Guess the only fair thing to do is wipe out the rep entirely when you reach that magic capped number. BWAHAHAHAHA!!!!!!

Well if the folks are that popular and contribute that much to the forum, they shouldn't have any trouble making it back up, should they?

I'm not a rep slut, I've never asked for it or expected it, and I actually give it out rarely
I really like the system only because it gives me feedback on what people think of what I had to say, without them having to take the time to PM or post "+1" or "you suck Virgin!"

This whole rep thing is starting to irritate me. I agree people should be recognized when they come across with something good, but right now it gives the illusion that someone should be listened to more or they have more juice than someone with less rep. Got to be a better way to regulate this. I agree with the Mods on this one. It looks like people are inflating their reps with buddy boosts. Really wish people would grow up and let the rep thing be what it is meant to be. A measure of how your peers view you. All of your peers. Not a select few buddies.

I have no buddies

But I do have more juice than you!
