Clear Justification for Iraq War, Part 1 and 2
This will be a two part post. It relates a clear and compiled list of justifications for military action in Iraq. This was done by a very little known news blogger, and what perhaps is most remarkable is that none of the larger media outlets seemingly had the interest, the fortitude, or the inclination to compile as compelling a list of justifications for military action in Iraq. I have taken the liberty of allowing the contained hyperlinks to remain, since each appears to support, through thoroughly researched documentation, every element of claim made. I am still in the process of investigating all of the links, but I have seen enough validity at this point to post this thread, and invite all interested to explore this topic with me.
The story is entitled, "The Invasion of Iraq: Still the Right Thing To Do". This initiating post will cover part 1, the next post will cover part 2.
Here's part 1:
The Invasion of Iraq: Still The Right Thing To Do
January 24, 2008 - 11:04 ET
// Updated August 26, 2008 //
Have you seen that the "Bush Lied" talking point is now "officially confirmed" by a "study"? The problem is, this study does not make the Cyclosarin, Mustard Gas, Sarin, Tabun, VX gas, and (tons of) Uranium go away. And the UN has even admited that the "old" WMD found was not degraded.
As if the WMD wasn't enough, there were plenty of other reasons to overthrow Saddam.
Saddam Hussein used Chemical weapon against the Iranians, Kurds, and Marsh Arabs;
attacked 6 nations (Iran, Kuwait, Saudi Arabia, Israel, Qatar, and Bahrain); violated the terms of the Gulf War surrender, planned the assasination of a former U.S. President, collaborated with and harbored terrorists; and was – according to The New York Times - one year away from building and Atomic Bomb before he was finally
overthrown.
Hat Tip to Chris Donohoe, Sua Sponte 75, NL207, dahliatravers, Mean Gene Dr. Love, and SFCMAC for some descriptions/links.

Look, almost no one likes to go to war, suffer death and destruction...etc. The fact that the far left is denying this war was justified is a level of ignorance I cannot comprehend.

The left seems to have an accurate read on the public concept of history:
1) it is only true if it comes from the mouths of experts - Oprah, Jerry Springer, Robert Redford, Sylvester Stallone, Martha Stewart.....
2) if it's on TV it must be true (conditioning ala Pavlov)
3) History is a low priority in school, right down there with Geography. Both are fact based. They are difficult, but possible to revise. Revision requires burning a lot of books, burning whole libararies siimplify the task.
History is OK when writtten and defined by the left, and then to justify the Marxist theory of class-warfare.
Bread and Circuses anyone?
The left is always aware. They ignore it or lie about it. They have no concept of truth except as they define truth. Lies are part of the package...anyone remember Bill Clinton?Last edited by sgtbear111; 11-24-08 at 12:47 AM. Reason: add text

Old People, like me, may not be around to witness the destruction of our Nation. The rest of you may not survive the collapse. We all have the sworn duty to prevent it.

Great news. Where was it when it was relevant?
