Is Officer Resource's political story coverage biased?
Is Officer Resource's political story coverage biased? Do we favor a particular political party? Vote in the poll. We want to know what political stories our members would like to see more or less of, in Crossfire.

O/R's political coverage is definitely way too liberal. We need more conservative views around here! And more cowbell!

Also the news section doesn't have nearly enough stories with the word "penis" in them.

I should certainly hope so.

I like the coverage so far.

promoted by an unscrupulous mainstream media, which

Being as news stories (and the comments thereafter) are primarily the offerings of O/R members, how can we say that the site itself is slanted?
O/R is but a canvas, its members are the artists.

It is the media who is biased, it is necessary to pull out the stories that portray the truth. Members of the OR do a fine job of that. Of course there are also those members who sit on the other side of the fence too, that is the liberal fence, who bring in their viewpoints. Always good to hear how the other side thinks.
Not that that makes it real.
I would have chose Realistically, Conservatively Fair and Balanced, since that was not an option I chose Fair and Balanced.

There is definately a very conservative viewpoint on O/R. It has certainly eased up a little, as I remember when those gutsy enough to present a liberal point of view were practically crucified in the forums!
For the morning will come. Brightly will it shine on the brave and true, kindly upon all who suffer for the cause, glorious upon the tombs of heroes. Thus will shine the dawn.

By nature of the job, I believe its fair to say that most police officers believe in personal responsibility. The concept of personal responsibility is a core value of conservatism. While certainly not all law enforcement officers are wholly conservatives, it can be said that some conservative values are inherent in at least the majority of those who choose such a profession. It would be absolutely counter-productive for a law enforcement officer to 'blame society' when it is one of their primary functions to serve justice on an individual, case-by-case basis. Liberalism tends to minimize the responsibility of the individual, opting to emphasize the ills of society, and their impact on the individual.

Excellent signature line CB. The works of de Tocqueville by themselves made college worth the trouble.

I tend to be (penis) conservative on most (penis) issues but I do enjoy hearing what the (penis) liberals have to say. (penis) So far most of the posters on this (penis) forum seem to have agreat deal of (penis) common sense. I don't see any (penis) serious trashing of anybody except (penis) Jenna.
And she is such a good sport (penis) that it doesn't really count.
