Here is a video that I think sums it all up. Its where Donna Brazile is talking to ABC news about taking the blanket that was at Obama's seat. When ABC jokes that they will look and see if its a Misdemeanor or a Felony Mrs. Brazile states that its ok because we now have a black president. This from an educated lady, kind of shows the mindset out there.

I just listened to it again and I see what you mean but I guess I interpreted it differently since he frames it using other terms for nonwhites.
