Obama offers to have a beer with Sean Hannity
ELKHART, Ind. – He’s dined with George Will, shared cocktails with John Boehner, even hosted a dinner for John McCain. But it may be a while yet before President Obama tosses a cold frosty one back with Sean Hannity.
At his town hall-style meeting in this economically distressed corner of Indiana on Monday, one woman got up to grill Mr. Obama about appointing cabinet officials who had not paid all of their taxes. Then she made a suggestion. “I’m one of those that thinks you need to have a beer with Sean Hannity,” she said.
Mr. Obama seemed a little ambivalent on that one. After all, he once told Jon Stewart during the election campaign that he did not think Mr. Hannity’s fans would much like to have a beer with him. But he found Mr. Hannity a convenient straight man Monday.
“With respect to Sean Hannity, I didn’t know that he had invited me for a beer,” the president said to laughter from the crowd.
“But I will take that under advisement,” he added in a tone that suggested it may be a long consideration, prompting even more laughter.
“Generally,” Mr. Obama went on, “his opinion of me does not seem to be very high.”
More laughter.
“But I’m always good for a beer.”
Still more laughter.
Over to you, Mr. Hannity.

Hannity has class and will do the right thing, but, DO make Obama pay for it. At least I will know where some of my stimulas package money will be going.

Just because the offer has been accepted doesn't mean crap. Hopefully, Obama won't puss out and will actually follow through, but I won't hold my breath.
