What did you think of President Obama's speech (last night) and Gov. Bobby Jindal's Repulbican response?

Whole lottta hot air, promises that can't be kept and the need to cover that the depression is almost here.

Didn't get a chance to see Obama's speech but I'm sure it was the same old defense talk. I did catch Jindal's reply and appreciated it. I do think however he's getting a little early of a start in being the voice of the Republican party. Obama just walked in the door. Mr. Jindal needs to keep Louisiana on the front burner first and foremost and his Presidential desires a little more subdued. I still like the guy but I wish he would slow down a bit and stay focused on Louisiana. We're not doing to bad and I don't want to see that change.

I wasn't impressed by it. Obama is doing the same hype with no specifics that he did all during the campaign. No meat in any of it.

I didn't watch Jindal, didn't see the point.

Jindal was wooden, as this program is every year after the speech. But the following day, he was on top of the game.

I agree. He's new on the big stage though.

He made some gaffes, but the next day sounded like a pro.

Someone is no doubt helping him polish.

I understand how people in the swampland will want him to focus on them - but he's going to be a national treasure.
