Rush Limbaugh addresses CPAC
You can find the rest of the speech on YouTube if you didn't catch it. What did you think of his speech?

I notice that, almost without fail, those that hate Rush attack Rush and not the arguments that he brings forth. Here is a better clip that goes past the first 4:45 and gets into some of the nuts and bolts:
I will be willing to bet anyone that has never listened to Rush will stop with the first three parts.

That was a good speech. Jenna do you have a response?

delusional, illogical liberal minority, and rabidly
promoted by an unscrupulous mainstream media, which
holds forth the proposition that it is entirely
possible to pick up a turd by the clean end!'

You trying to bait the sheep again?

There's too much there for me to respond to. My views are pretty much the diametric opposite of Limbaugh's. Just do a search for everything I've ever posted about politics.
On second thought,, never mind, my response is that I have Stockholm syndrome and want to have Rush's puppies.

I recorded the audio while listening to the CSPAN stream of the speech. It stalled a few times, I fixed those sections, though I have a sneaking suspicion I may have made a bad edit causing 2 minutes to be repeated at some point.
SO...here's the entire speech for your listening pleasure. I can't stand watching long YouTube clips when time could be better spent and I reckon the same may be true for you. Toss this on your Blackberry, iPod, whatever and listen while commuting, working out or making obscene profits.

I loved Rush's speech...though it was a tad long for my tastes (I tend to have a somewhat short attention span when it comes to TV). Did anyone also catch Wayne LaPierre?

If that's your ONLY reason for not addressing Rush's points, then I invite to just pick any 3... or just one point.
I'm not trying to speak on behalf of Jenna, but I don't blame her for not speaking for a completely different reason, if you'll pardon the metaphor: The same reason a sheep doesn't ask "what's for dinner?" when it is among wolves. Even if Jenna gave valid counterpoints to Rush's points, she'd be attacked relentlessly from all sides and judging from most folks' track record with dealing with Jenna they'd end up calling her everything but a good person.
Just my observation.
Rush isn't my favorite talk radio guy, but he did a fine job with those clips I watched. Of course, the irony of all you that think drug-users should be locked up that are Rush fans doesn't escape me.

Whatever made you think of that metaphor?

I've had some of those conversations here, amazingly enough. Sometimes even with someone you know very well.
But asking me to debate a wide-ranging set of very long videotaped rants by Rush Limbaugh just isn't the right venue for that kind of conversation. If I just picked one or two of the issues Limbaugh brings up, someone will question why I picked that and didn't address the much more important issue of XYZ. If I tried to address all the issues, it would go on for pages and pages and everyone would get bored. Also I'd rather not try to have a discussion with Rush Limbaugh since he's not posting here--since he's not here to speak for himself, we're all likely to get bogged down in questioning each other's interpretations of what Limbaugh actually meant.

Ahhh yes I do very well remember those debates. But for the sake of claification I would like to see this....
A conversation is communication by two, three, or more people. It is a social skill that is not difficult for most individuals. Conversations are the ideal form of communication in some respects, since they allow people with different views on a topic to learn from each other. ......not necessarily a debate.
And I must also slip an apology in here. I stated only conservative and liberal. Of course this would be open to all opinions regardless of party affiliation. But anyway.....Do not war for peace. If you must war, war for justice. For without justice there is no peace. -me

Don't fall for the smoke and mirrors. The Dem elite is pushing Rush to the forefront to get their own flaws out of the limelight, (like Burris, Obama's stimulus debacle, the Omnibus spending bill, the 'backdoor deal' attempt with the Russians, and dissent among their own party).
Stay alert!
