House Passes Health Bill
House Passes Health Care Bill - FOXNews.com
- In a victory for President Barack Obama, the Democratic-controlled House narrowly passed landmark health care legislation Saturday night to expand coverage to tens of millions who lack it and place tough new restrictions on the insurance industry. Republican opposition was nearly unanimous.
The 220-215 vote cleared the way for the Senate to begin debate on the issue that has come to overshadow all others in Congress.
A triumphant Speaker Nancy Pelosi likened the legislation to the passage of Social Security in 1935 and Medicare 30 years later. That which does not kill me, better start fucking running.

They still have to get it past the Senate. By the rules, the Senate must have a 2/3 "super majority" to avoid a filibuster, so winning by 5 votes like it did in the House is actually a loss.
Plus every state is equal in the Senate, and generally a majority of states are basically Republican. This works against the populous liberal states, but Texas is also handicapped.
We need to bust up Texas I think, which we have the right to do - That way, we could gain about 6 Senators and put a stop to this kinda crap.
