I plan to go around trying to explain to people that they'll feel better if they're nice to each other.

"It's a great life. You risk your skin catching killers and the juries turn them loose so they can come back and shoot at you again. If your honest , your poor your whole life. And , In the end , you wind up dying all alone on some dirty street. For what? For nothing. For a tin star."
Far from being a handicap to command, compassion is the measure of it. For unless one values the lives of his soldiers and is tormented by their ordeals , he is unfit to command.

Captain, why get rid of Jenna? You might need someone to bargain for!
For the morning will come. Brightly will it shine on the brave and true, kindly upon all who suffer for the cause, glorious upon the tombs of heroes. Thus will shine the dawn.

I've had the S H T F a few times over the years. Each time I went home to my family after the shift was over, and that's the plan I have now, too. Back in 2005, the S H T F pretty damn well for a couple of days here in Louisiana. It took me a little longer to get home with the mandatory overtime, but I still made it, even without FEMA assistance.

I don't have any plan, I don't stock pile ammo, food or supplies. I have read other forums on this subject and have not found any plans I can adopt. I saw a public service commercial on TV where it is suggested we "develop a plan". The commercial didn't provide any guidelines or suggestions on how to create this plan. Some plans are to ambiguous and others are too specific. Some are from whack jobs (thats where I picked up the Thunderdome theme) but most are "stockpile guns and ammo" and get out of the city. I truly believe that in a full blown Red Dawn melt down a plan wont do you much good. The financial break down did get me to thinking about it though. The possibility of basic services being interrupted and food being scarce from grocery stores. A gallon of gas costing $50.00 and a loaf of bread costing $100.00 are some things I heard "could" happen if the financial infrastructure would collapse. These are the SHTF things that I would be most concerned with.
I apologize if anyone took offense to my question.
