Lautenberg, Menendez introduce trio of gun-control bills

Three federal gun-control bills introduced Tuesday would help prevent such violence as the Tucson attack that left six dead and 14 injured, according to the New Jersey Democratic senators sponsoring the package.
One bill, called the “Large Capacity Ammunition Feeding Device Act,” would prohibit the manufacture and sale of firearm magazines that hold more than 10 rounds. Such a ban existed until 2004, when it was not renewed by Congress.
Two other measures would close dangerous loopholes, according to Sen. Frank R. Lautenberg of Cliffside Park, the primary sponsor, and Sen. Robert Menendez of Cliffside Park, a co-sponsor.

I knew it wouldn't take long for democrats to start showing their true faces. Why can't they just move to Britian and leave the rest of us alone.

If they think people will follow all these laws, why don't they just make it illegal to shoot people? ...oh wait.

I demand that we make laws against cars because drunk drivers use them to kill people, knives with sharp edges or blades longer than 1/2 inch because they have been used in murders (even mass murders), and all manufacturers of any type of unheathy foods because this food kills people. I could probably come up with a few more things we need to ban using the same logic these people are using.

Maybe we can just make it illegal to pass more gun control laws?

Here's my question? Did the Tucson shooter use more than 10 rounds? If yes, would he have had time to reload a new mag?
-
Math problem. If high capacity mags were illegal how many 10 round mags would the Tuscon Az shooter have had to carry to make up for not having high capacity mags?
Science question. Could a person the same size, mass and physical capabilities of the Tuscon Az shooter carry the extra weight of 10 round magazines to have the same amount of ammunition of high capacity magazines if high capacity magazines were illegal?

I don't believe they have the votes or the will for this.
However, if there is any one among you that has not spoken with your legis-critter about this - and identified that you work in law enforcement - then you need to do so.
I call mine twice a month. I'm pretty sure he's getting tired of me, but that's ok.
