Cain has ZERO chance. He's legitimately conservative and could actually reform the government. The leftist media will never admit a black man could be anything but liberal so they won't take him seriously, therefore, outside of a few self motivated conservatives he doesn't exist, and will never get any traction.

Cain has the highest positives, but the lowest recognition. As the recognition goes up so will he. Am I saying that he will get the nomination? No, but I'm not ready to say he will not get the nomination either.
Herman Cain
Of course the above author misrepresents the FairTax in his assessment of Cain.

I do not like Romney, he is not second amendment friendly. In fact, I would be very hesitant to vote for a Republican from any of the gun-unfriendly States (New Jersey, Massachusetts, etc.) unless the person had a strong track record for fighting for gun rights. In my opinion, any gun banning Republican is not a true Republican.

Looks like Michelle Bachmann won the Republican straw poll in Iowa:
More here:Michele Bachmann captured the famed Iowa Straw Poll in Ames Saturday, reaching a high-profile benchmark in her meteoric rise to a top-tier presidential candidate.
Bachmann made history, as well, becoming the first woman to win the event. She received 4,823 votes out of the almost 17,000 votes cast. The turnout was a significant leap over four years ago but didn't approach the record of more than 23,000 votes cast back in 1999.
The Minnesota congresswoman narrowly outpaced libertarian Rep. Ron Paul, who had 4,671 votes, and whose red t-shirt-wearing supporters flooded the campus of Iowa State University, and packed the arena when Paul spoke. Former Minnesota Gov. Tim Pawlenty finished third with 2,293, a showing that keeps him in the game for next year’s Iowa caucuses, but had to come off as slightly disappointing.

She was an excellent governor. She would have my vote for sure. Not sure she would be first choice though. The only reason why she didn't have success as VP candidate was a very poor first choice in McCain (still better then obama though) and the fact that the radical left couldn't stand to see a strong woman who wasn't on their side have a "first" in a major national elected office.
