Who do you want as the Republican nominee for President in 2012?
Who do you hope will become the Republican Party's nominee for President in the 2012 election?
I'd prefer Mitt Romney, as he seems the most reasonable of the bunch.

Anyone on the list is preferable to what we have now.
For the morning will come. Brightly will it shine on the brave and true, kindly upon all who suffer for the cause, glorious upon the tombs of heroes. Thus will shine the dawn.

Rick Perry, Michele Bachmann, and Herman Cain are acceptable from your list.
I would also add Allen West and Bobby Jindal.
The rest of your list is unacceptable.I'm your huckleberry...

My favorite has and continues to be Herman Cain.

So far I am a Herman Cain fan. I wouldn't mind Bobby now that he seems to have figured out he needs to be the Louisiana governor first. For a long time there he was every where but here. Of course it isn't long until his re election so maybe that's how he figured it out. Louisiana first there Bobby.

Bachman or Cain.
As a huge FU to the whole world I wouldn't mind seeing Ron Paul but that would be extreme.
I'm not sure there's a Republican with the stones to actually change the status quo. All that hot air and cackling and the debt ceiling bill is just more of the same. I'm on the verge of disconnecting and living in the wilderness off the land and not caring about the world blowing up.That which does not kill me, better start fucking running.

Out of that list I would say Herman Cain. Personally I've been impressed by Paul Ryan, and I anticipate him running next go around.
I don't however foresee any of the listed people beating Obama. I still think it's his to lose. Anybody but Bush didn't work for them either.

I'm with Jenna on Mitt Romney. Others would include Michelle Bachman or Bobby Jindal. I don't know enough about the others to make a decision, other than Jon Huntsman who seems to be what is commonly referred to as a RINO. (Republican in name only)

Michelle Bachmann is a lawyer. Romney is a country club Republican or a RINO, as milquetoast as McCain. a sell out. Palin has this childish fascination with the TV media. Doesnt she know that sharks behave as sharks because they are sharks??
Herman Cain is my pick. Some people come into our lives and quickly go. Some stay for awhile and leave footprints on our hearts. And we are never, ever the same.-- Anonymous

Interesting how different the preferences of O/R members who lean Republican are from those of Gallup poll takers who lean Republican:

http://www.gallup.com/poll/148664/Ro...andidates.aspx
Most O/R members seem to be on the Cain Train, while Cain is near the bottom of the pile in most polls of US voters who lean Republican.
Why do you think that's so?
