Tea Party crowd cheers hypothetical death of 30-year-old man in a coma without insurance
Blitzer >> You're a physician, Ron Paul, you're a doctor. You know something about this subject. Let me ask you this hypothetical question. A healthy 30-year-old young man has a good job, makes a good living, but decides I'm not going to spend 200 or $300 a month because I'm healthy, i don't need it. But something terrible happens, all of a sudden he needs it. Who will pay if he goes into a coma, who pays for that?
Paul >> In a society that you accept welfarism and socialism, he expects the government to take care of him.
Blitzer >> What do you want?
Paul >> What he should do is whatever he wants to do and assume responsibility for himself. My advice to him would have a major al policy.
Blitzer >> He doesn't have that and he needs intensive care for six months. Who pays?
Paul >> That's what freedom is all about, taking your own risks. This whole idea that you have to prepare and take care of everybody --
Audience >> [applause]
Blitzer >> but congressman, are you saying that society should just let him die?
Audience >> [shouts of "yeah!"]

Agreed. The whole crowd did not cheer only a few.
And how does anyone know those cheers came from tea party people? They may have been Democrats. The hypothetical 30 year old made his own choice.

Wolf Blitzer is a supreme douche bag. He's been a coma for years. The Iraqis should have bombed his ass in 91.

Wolf is indeed a bit tiresome.

Pretty simple. He pays for it out of his own pocket. I was in the same boat when I was 19. Almost died. I spent several years paying off those hospital and doctor bills. No one helped me. I didn't ask for it. A family member tried to get MediCal to help but they said since I made too much (just above the poverty line) and wasn't a minority I was ineligible for any assistance.
Bottom line is the person is responsible for his own means. If that means years in debt so be it.'Political Correctness is a doctrine fostered by a
delusional, illogical liberal minority, and rabidly
promoted by an unscrupulous mainstream media, which
holds forth the proposition that it is entirely
possible to pick up a turd by the clean end!'

The biggest cheers were when personal responsibility was mentioned. People are tired of Government day care from birth to death.
For the morning will come. Brightly will it shine on the brave and true, kindly upon all who suffer for the cause, glorious upon the tombs of heroes. Thus will shine the dawn.
Winston Churchill
