Honkey for Herman Here
Herman Cain Wins FL Straw Poll:
Herman Cain wins GOP Florida straw poll; Rick Perry in second place - Washington Times
ORLANDO — Former Godfather Pizza CEO Herman Cain won the Presidency 5 straw poll here Saturday, delivering a blow to Texas Gov. Rick Perry’s frontrunner status and a victory for a candidate who has struggled to transform his grassroots popularity into strong showings in national polls.
“Tonight’s winner is Herman Cain,” Florida Gov. Rick Scott announced. “It shows you something, the road to the White House come through Florida, and it pays to spend time here.”
He received 37 percent of the more than 2,600 votes cast.

It would be nice if this gave him some momentum.

1. This was the first poll that could not be rigged.
2. Cain won in a poll of Republican party officials and office holders.
3. This was the first poll that could not be beat thru organization.
4. And weird to say, the winner of this poll has won the nomination.
I hope he can handle the increase scrutiny and attention.

The media will have to stop ignoring him if he's going to appeal beyond 3,000 conservative politicos. I like him, but with the low IQ of the average voter and the media's obsession with the left, I'd bet on getting pregnant before I bet he'd get the nomination. And I don't have a uterus.

I prefer to think of myself as a "Cracker for Cain." I'd love to see him as a candidate not only because of his ideology, but also because it would throw the liberal media into a hissy fit!
For the morning will come. Brightly will it shine on the brave and true, kindly upon all who suffer for the cause, glorious upon the tombs of heroes. Thus will shine the dawn.

Would be nice to see him become a major contender. I just don't see the liberal media allowing it. They usually get to "pick" each parties canidates via the type if coverage they deliver.

Really looking like the end of the line for Cain. I hate it, I like him. The first few women that came up I figured was just a ploy, but as they say, where's there's smoke.... I think this last lady is going to be the nail in the coffin. Having her around for so long, phone records to show he really did talk to her, a LOT, sounds shady. I think a lot of people could get over it if he either owned up to it or it was disproven somehow, but the middle of the road voters were going to be a strech for him anyway.
I wish Ron Paul wasn't such a nut.

Dear Patriots and Supporters,
As you probably heard yesterday, a troubled Atlanta business woman used national media outlets to promulgate a fabricated, unsubstantiated story about a 13 year affair with me. I am writing you today to assure you that this woman’s story is completely false.
I do know Ms. White. I have helped her financially at times over the past few years, just as I have helped many friends and acquaintances throughout the years. I thought Ms. White was a friend in need of a supportive hand to better her life.
Ms. White has made it apparent that she was abusing the friendship.
But now I am asking for your friendship. I am also asking for your prayers and support. This is a trying time for my family, my campaign, and for me. It is also a trying time for our country as we are all distracted from the truly important issues facing our nation.
This evening I have an important speaking engagement at Hillsdale College in Hillsdale, Michigan, where I will be outlining my foreign policy and national security plan. While recent events have taken a toll on me, the people in the audience this evening will not know it. I will deliver my message with vigor and enthusiasm.
Let me assure you, I am not deterred. America’s future is too important. We will continue on this journey to make America great once again.
Thank you and God bless.
Sincerely,
Herman Cain
Take it for what it is worth. Then there is this:
Who is Ginger White? - The Washington Post
Click the link for the full skinny
"White has been frequently unemployed, according to news reports, and public records reveal financial difficulties that resulted in several eviction notices.
Her ex-husband, John White, 45, said he had no knowledge of the alleged affair between Ginger White and Cain. “It wouldn’t surprise me either way,” John White said."
"According to Georgia court records, she has been given eviction notices at least five times by landlords seeking back rent. A former business partner, Kimberly Vay, sued White earlier this year after a dispute that began when White wrote disparaging comments about Vay in a mass e-mail — comments that White recanted four months later as part of a legal settlement. The two women fell out after a fitness business they ran together collapsed.
“She came back and stated that everything she stated in the e-mail was completely false,” Vay said in an interview. “She admitted to making it all up out of anger and frustration.”
White also agreed to pay Vay’s legal fees but eventually stopped making her monthly payments, leading to the lawsuit, Vay said."
I'm seeing some smoke myself.
