Hank Williams Jr. Compares Obama To Hitler, Gets Pulled From 'Monday Night Football'
UPDATE: ESPN has released a statement expressing their disapproval of Williams' comments, and will pull his intro from tonight's Monday Night Football telecast.
“While Hank Williams, Jr. is not an ESPN employee, we recognize that he is closely linked to our company through the open to Monday Night Football. We are extremely disappointed with his comments, and as a result we have decided to pull the open from tonight’s telecast.”
A source at ESPN told The Huffington Post that they are still evaluating whether they will use the song in the future.

"It's a great life. You risk your skin catching killers and the juries turn them loose so they can come back and shoot at you again. If your honest , your poor your whole life. And , In the end , you wind up dying all alone on some dirty street. For what? For nothing. For a tin star."
Far from being a handicap to command, compassion is the measure of it. For unless one values the lives of his soldiers and is tormented by their ordeals , he is unfit to command.

I just wonder what they expected when they picked an outlaw style country singer to be a political analyst?

Poor Bocephus. He has no more political knowledge than the guys that cut my hair. He really shouldn't have gone on that show. It looks like he didn't want to be there anyway. Oh well.

Considering he didn't do what the headline says he did, I'm not surprised.

He did make a comparison, but it was a simile, not a direct comparison. Like saying "I'm sweating like a whore in church". I'm comparing myself to a whore, but not calling myself one.
Far be it from the media to sensationalize something.
Maybe we can fix the economy with this. Every time the media reports something that is misleading or false, we fine them a million bucks. Either we'll fix the deficit, or the media will go broke. Win/win.

Just think. If he had called Bush a Nazi he would be celebrated and praised throughout the media empire.

he did not compare obama to hitler. he was comparing the relationship.
"Williams Jr. says, "Some of us have strong opinions and are often misunderstood. My analogy was extreme - but it was to make a point. I was simply trying to explain how stupid it seemed to me - how ludicrous that pairing was."
He continues, "They're polar opposites and it made no sense. They don't see eye-to-eye and never will. I have always respected the office of the President."

Both nationalists with a broad socialist agenda... Both born to communist, government-employed, alcohol-abusing fathers much older than their mothers, who had multiple children with other women... Both authored two books, using them to springboard their political aspirations, both talented orators who incited crowds with messianic prowess, even after being described as "shy, awkward; almost introverted" in their youth.
(There are more comparisons, but I wouldn't want to lose my job over posting this...)
