Rush Limbaugh's "slut" comments draw rebukes from all sides
In unleashing his sharp words against a law student this week, talk show host Rush Limbaugh – who called the student a “slut” and a “prostitute” for advocating expanded access to birth control – sparked rebukes from President Obama, fellow Republicans and longtime sponsors of his talk show.
Obama entered the fray Friday when he called Sandra Fluke, a third-year Georgetown University law student, to express support after she drew Limbaugh’s ire when she testified in favor of the administration’s new rule requiring employers to offer health insurance plans that cover birth control.
Limbaugh said on his show that Fluke “wants to be paid to have sex. She's having so much sex she can't afford the contraception. She wants you and me and the taxpayers to pay her to have sex.”
Limbaugh stood by his statements Friday, even mocking Obama’s phone call, and noted that he had offered to “buy all of the women at Georgetown University as much aspirin to put between their knees as they want,” a revival of a comment made last month by wealthy Republican Foster Friess – a supporter of GOP presidential candidate Rick Santorum who had suggested such a use of aspirin as a less-expensive form of birth control. Friess later apologized.House Speaker John A. Boehner (R-Ohio) kept quiet on the matter, but his spokesman said Boehner “obviously believes the use of those words was inappropriate, as is trying to raise money off the situation.”
Santorum said Friday that Limbaugh was being “absurd,” but dismissed him as an entertainer.More here: Rush Limbaugh draws rebukes from all sides after calling Fluke a "slut" and "prostitute" - latimes.com“Rush Limbaugh’s comments are reprehensible,”Sen. Scott Brown(R-Mass.) wrote on Twitter. “He should apologize.”
California Republican Carly Fiorina said the statements were “insulting.”

So what do you call a woman that expects others to pay for her to have sex?

So, what was said?
That's some serious sex, folks... and just think, we're talking about sex with this woman:In her testimony, Fluke describes the financial 'hardships' that her peers endure, resulting from having to purchase their own birth control. “Forty percent of the female students at Georgetown Law reported to us that they struggled financially as a result of this policy,” Fluke stated, referring to the fact that the university's insurance does not cover the costs of contraception. “Without insurance coverage, contraception, as you know, can cost a woman over $3,000 during law school.”
Fluke then went into detail, stating in one story that a student at Georgetown Law felt “embarrassed” and “powerless” when she approached the pharmacy counter and “learned for the first time” that the Catholic university's health insurance plan doesn't cover contraceptives.
Over $3,000 in birth control over the course of three years would amount to $1,000 per year for contraceptives. Condoms at Walmart cost approximately $1 a piece, which would total about 1,000 condoms. With 365 days and 1,000 condoms per year, $3,000 would allow a Georgetown Law student to have sex 2.74 times a day, every day, for 3 straight years.

Um... yeah.

Excerpted from:Radio talk show host Rush Limbaugh had some things to say about Ms. Fluke's testimony: “What does it say about the college co-ed Sandra Fluke who goes before a Congressional committee and says she must be paid to have sex? What does that make her? It makes her a slut, right? It makes her a prostitute. She wants to be paid to have sex. She’s having so much sex, she can’t afford the contraception. She wants you and me and the taxpayers to pay her to have sex. What does that make us? We’re the pimps.” He also added, “I will buy the women at Georgetown Law as much aspirin to keep between their knees as they want.”
President Obama personally phoned Fluke, encouraging, supporting, and thanking her, for “speaking out about the concerns of American women.” Fluke also stated, “What was really personal for me was that he said to tell my parents that they should be proud.”
Yes, her parents should be very proud of her for wanting to get free birth control in order to have more sex during her schooling at Georgetown Law, a Catholic university. Rush Limbaugh puts it into perspective: “Your daughter appears before a Congressional committee and says she's having so much sex, she can't pay for it, and wants a new welfare program to pay for it. Would you be proud? I would be embarrassed.”
This, my friends, is feminist hypocrisy at it's finest. They shout to keep our government out of their bedrooms and their wombs, but want us to foot the bill for their birth control and abortions.
Sandra Fluke's Controversial Birth Control Testimony
On March 1st, 2012, Limbaugh added:
Now we're talking about making a seriously effective public service message for the abstinence movement. So, Ms. Fluke and the rest of you feminazis, here's the deal. If we are going to pay for your contraceptives, and thus pay for you to have sex, we want something for it, and I'll tell you what it is. We want you to post the videos online so we can all watch...

No, Rush is a blowhard and an entertainer.
That said -- Fluke's opportunity to speak was staged. I've seen elsewhere that she wasn't "just a random student." She's been active at Georgetown University in related causes for the last several years. She was picked to push buttons, and she did. She's not a slut, and Rush did the Republican Party no favors by attacking her. Obama got to make points by patting her on the back for being attacked by Rush. The Republican party has, for the most part, ignored her, and that's what they should pretty much do.
However -- her $3000 in birth control costs figure has some problems. I'm not going to do the "that's X number of condonms" thing; it's already been done. But it apparently keeps the entire responsibility for birth control on the woman. I guess that's better than always expecting the guy to provide condoms, but not by much. But I'll even take that out of the equation. There's a birth control method available that's fee, has no medical side effects or concerns, and can be utilized by men and women equally, and is absolutely free. It's called abstinence, and simply requires some willpower.Voting against incumbents until we get a Congress that does its job.

We interrupt this emotional plea bullshit to bring you common sense...
It doesn't matter what Limbaugh says, or what he is, or what drugs he takes, that is called a "straw man" fallacy. If you buy into the progressive's making this about Rush Limbaugh, you are just as foolish as the liberals hope you'll be, and you are falling for their turning this once again into a debate of personalities, rather than issues.
It doesn't matter what kind of sexual activities Sandra Fluke desires to partake in, (although having 2.74 rounds of sexual intercourse per day, 365 days per year makes me wonder when she has time to study law at Georgetown).
This is about whether or not the federal government can dictate to private industries and religious institutions what they must spend money for, and provide access to in insurance coverage; removing all options for moral and/or philosophical objections. Yes, my children, make no mistake about it: This is about control.
The spin layer is so deep here that it absolutely defies imagination. Think, people!
We banter and bicker about who pays for what and what can be mandated in insurance coverages, morality, and the removal of personal choice (see also personal responsibility), meanwhile, this argument doesn't really matter in the long-term because if the "progressives" have their way, the federal government will become this nation's primary compulsory healthcare insurer under the ObamaCare laws that have already passed.
Don't you think it actually plays right into the greedy fingers of the elitist socialist agenda that we become distracted over this "moral" issue while as we speak, the largest single assault against American freedom of choice takes place at the highest levels of our government?
Yes, I was having some fun posting earlier on this topic, but wake up... please.

That's the whole thing about this. It's crap to distract people from the real agendas and actions. For the record, I don't support the health care act, nor do I support the mandate that organizations violate their documented and historical beliefs to provide for care that they feel is immoral or unethical.Voting against incumbents until we get a Congress that does its job.

According to the university's website, current tuition for a JD at Georgetown is $23,432.50 per semester. This does not including housing, health plan, other fees or inflation. Assuming students go to class two semesters per year for three years, that comes to a total of at least $140,595 for a law degree. But they can't afford $3,000 for birth control?

Georgetown is a Catholic college. Of course they don't pay for birth control!!
common sense is not so common.
Call Limbaugh what you will. His sound bites have been used out of context for many years, by the libs to propogate their agenda. Where was the outrage when Bill Mahr called Sarah Palin a "Cunt"? Double standard?? you bet your ass.
Like Limbaugh, or dont like him, but if you want to comment on a sound bite, or an article written by a liberal biased journalist, at least attempt to do your homework to get the real or both sides. I'm guilty of it as well. But I learned to get both sides of the story to educate myself about the issue before I comment.
Blowhard...full of himself....egotistical?? Yea, at first impression, I thought,"Damn" , this guy is full of himself". But, his record for being right, or hitting the nail on the head, speaks for itself.
I listen to Limbaugh apologize for his comments the other day. He explained the was frustrated, and lowered himself to the level of the liberals that he informs against. I did not hear his original comment that everyone is so "devastated" over.....but I've heard & read enough over the past few days, it seems the double standard liberals are actually getting more than 5 seconds of airtime oj nthis one.Wiping the turds of humanity from the ass of society from 1600 to midnight.

In the news today:
Iran is reportedly dangerously close to nuclear weapons achievement, with clearly stated hostile intentions toward the U.S. and Israel, has embargoed Europe driving fuel prices to perhaps record highs... Sanctions are not working.
The National Debt continues climbing at an alarming rate, with each citizen's share of this debt reaching $49,619.36 as of March 7th, 2012.
The Federal Government is moving at light speed toward a national socialized health care bureaucracy, expanding entitlements and government oversight, while effectively dissolving the health insurance industry in the free-market and increasing the federal debt exponentially.
Social Security recipients are being taxed on dollars paid to them, after being taxed on dollars they paid into the system throughout their lives, while the cost of living continues to rise, leading many of those who once planned on retirement to just continue working until death.
Jobless numbers continue to hover at highest levels in more than thirty years...
Over 40,000 people die on American highways every year...

Interesting, when one of his sponsors (Carbonite), dropped his show, their stock plummeted 12%. BYW, I like him. anyone who pisses off a Demonakrat is OK by me.
However, it hasn’t done much to contribute to his company’s stock price. Since the market opened on Monday through its close today, Carbonite stock (NASDAQ:CARB) has plummeted nearly 12 percent, outpacing the drop of the NASDAQ index in that same time period by nine-and-a-half points. It was also one of the biggest decliners on the NASDAQ on Tuesday.
