What do you hope the Supreme Court will do about the Affordable Care Act?
More here: http://www.cbsnews.com/8301-503544_1...-happens-next/The Court could strike down just the individual mandate, the Medicaid expansion or the entire law. The justices could also determine the entire law constitutional.
The decision should come anytime now, with major implications for everyone. What do you hope will happen?

Affordable Care Act........what a misleading and outright LIE of a name for this legislation.

I hope they strike it down

I voted struck down but being found unconstitutional would not be a bad thing, as long as nothing came out of it as a precedent that would make later, more fair and sensible changes to healthcare difficult. I don't know how it can happen other than major tort reform but healthcare needs tweaking. At the same time, Americans don't need to be pushed around by the Government. Frivolous lawsuits have played a major part in current healthcare costs. That's what needs fixing.

What, no "Uphold the law as written"?
Civil War re-enactments are popular, real ones would be even more realistic.
Reading failure. And still, even now, I have to force my eyes not to see an 'un' in front of 'constitutional'

although I agree that pre-existing conditions should stay, the whole thing is Unconstitutional. Couple of things: Why does the iRS need to be notified about my health conditions; notified each time I visit my Doctor? If/when you sell your house 2 1/2 % tax on the gross goes to the gov't to pay for this fiasco. Keep children on your plan until they are 26 yoa? Ya gotta be kidding. Why??????????????? When they are 18 or get out of college - let them get on their own. Why not make it until their 30, or 40, etc. It's just crazy.

THE COW AND THE ICE CREAM
ONE OF THE BEST THEORIES OF WHY OBAMA WON THE ELECTION
From a teacher in the Nashville area
"We are worried about 'the cow' when it is all about the 'Ice Cream. 'The most eye-opening civics lesson I ever had was while teaching 3rd grade. The last Presidential election was heating up and some of the children showed an interest. I decided we would have an election for a class president. We would choose our nominees. They would make a campaign speech and the class would vote. To simplify the process, candidates were nominated by other class members. We discussed what kinds of characteristics these students should have. We got many nominations and from those, Jamie and Olivia were picked to run for the top spot.
The class had done a great job in their selections. Both candidates were good kids.
I thought Jamie might have an advantage because he got lots of parental support.
I had never seen Olivia's mother.
The day arrived when they were to make their speeches.
Jamie went first.
He had specific ideas about how to make our class a better place.
He ended by promising to do his very best.
Everyone applauded and he sat down.
Now is was Olivia's turn to speak.
Her speech was concise. She said, "If you will vote for me, I will give you ice cream." She sat down.
The class went wild. "Yes! Yes! We want ice cream."
She surely would say more. She did not have to.
A discussion followed. How did she plan to pay for the ice cream? She wasn't sure. But no one pursued that question. They took her at her word.
Would her parents buy it or would the class pay for it...She didn't know.
The class really didn't care. All they were thinking about was ice cream...
Jamie was forgotten. Olivia won by a landslide.
Every time Barack Obama opened his mouth he offered ice cream and 51.4 % of the people reacted like nine year olds.
They want ice cream.
The other 48.6% percent know they're going to have to feed the cow and clean up the mess."
This is the ice cream Obama promised us!

Remember, the government cannot give anything to anyone that they have not first taken away from someone else.
Did you vote for the ice cream?
THAT, MY FRIEND, IS HOW OBAMA GOT ELECTED, BY THOSE WHO WANT EVERYTHING FOR FREE!

it is just that they know so much that isn't so.

Similar to the ice cream story, my Freshmen year of high school's student body elections went very similar. The one that won? "So for Student Body President, vote for a great student body!" and she gestured up and down her frame. The idiots ate it up.
As to the original question, I really wish "voted Unconstitutional" was a choice. As is, I'll have to settle with voting the whole damn thing down.
The insurance that is available to me SUCKS. High premiums, high deductibles, and it doesn't cover much of anything at all. On dental alone, I'd lose over $200 per year vs paying cash. For standard medical it's about ten times that. I wouldn't be able to live on my paycheck after the premiums were taken out. If, for instance, I needed an appendectomy, it wouldn't cover it. It wouldn't even cover a broken leg. "This is not major medical" is in fine print at the bottom of the forms. So yeah, I go uninsured. I also go to the dentist twice a year as a cash patient, and I see my regular doctor every 8 months or so, also a cash patient. If I need medication? AAA offers a medication discount program that is included with my membership. But Dipwad wants to force me to buy coverage I can't afford for services I don't need and can't use.
Yeah, I hope it gets struck down.\\` ` ` ` < ` )___/\

The rumor going around at work right now is that the new company owners are looking to cut everyone back to 32 hours a week so they don't have to offer health insurance.

I was looking at some comments on a photo on facebook, a lot of the sheep somehow believe that this means "free healthcare for all" - they really don't realize that they are going to be forced to buy insurance, that it's not just the government paying the bills for everyone. The level of ignorance is astounding.
