With Obama on Vacation, Conservatives Brace for Cliff

I think Obama wanted the efforts to collapse anyway... That's a win-win for the Democrats. They get tax hikes across the board, and they can blame them on the Republicans.

Personally -- I blame them all. As in each and every member of the US Congress. They have a job to do: pass a budget prior to the start of the next fiscal year. They've failed that task for 3 or 4 years running now. Both sides have to accept some things they don't like to do that. I'm fed up with the lot of them, and I want them to be held accountable. If they can't manage to set aside some of their partisan bullshit to get the job done -- boot 'em in the next election.

I also think the he never wanted the fiscal cliff to be avoided. It grants him too much political favor to let it to over. The press has their noses so far up his ass they are gong to blame republicans anyways. He has nothing to lose and everything to gain.

I think there are too many liberal minded people now to ever get a properly balanced mindset in Washington. Even if it were to happen it would take forever to undo all the damage that has been done.

At this point, I don't even care if it's balanced. Just get the damn job done, somehow!

I just heard someone on the radio talking about how they can't even print the tax forms and the IRS doesn't even know what the taxes are going to be because Congress didn't get the job done for 2012 yet.
