God bless America
My wife home schools my son and daughter. My little girl who just turned six thismonth was singing God bless Americawhile doing her school work yesterday It got me to wondering if public school kids evenknow the song. I know there has been a push to get away from patriotic thinkingand teaching. My buddy’s niece is 18 and she is not sure what the US Constitutionis, yet she can now vote. My children say the Pledge of Allegiance, theAmerican’s Creed, sing various patriotic songs and learn what it means to be anAmerican on a daily bases. I guess we are raising some of those God fearing,American loving, gun toting conservatives that the media and the current administration warn youabout.

on his wearing his sidearm. "Sheriff, I see you have your pistol. Are you
expecting trouble?" "No Ma'am. If I were expecting trouble, I would have
brought my rifle."

Most schools don't even say the pledge of allegiance anymore. The schools don't educate our kids anymore and they indoctrinate them into hating this country and our values.

They also teach selective history. Case in point , the United States dropped A-bombs on Japan and killed hundreds of thousands of people but they neglect to mention the root causes for the decision to use the bombs like Pearl Harbor , the Bataan Death March and the fanatical nature (kamikazes) of the Japanese Military and their society's blind obedience to their Emperor. Most kids today think we started the war thanks to the edited , abbreviated version of history they are taught.

"It's a great life. You risk your skin catching killers and the juries turn them loose so they can come back and shoot at you again. If your honest , your poor your whole life. And , In the end , you wind up dying all alone on some dirty street. For what? For nothing. For a tin star."
Far from being a handicap to command, compassion is the measure of it. For unless one values the lives of his soldiers and is tormented by their ordeals , he is unfit to command.

I can easily remember God, prayer and the Pledge of Allegiance being slowly phased out.
