When most people think of law enforcement, they picture big city agencies.
That’s largely because most popular culture that focuses on law enforcement take place in urban settings.
Think Die Hard, The Untouchables, or Dog Day Afternoon.
Every once in a while, there will be a show or a movie about a cop who works way out in the sticks, but none of them come close to illuminating the life and work of police officers in extremely rural environments.
Australia is huge. Outside of its big cities, there are parts of the country where desolate and lonely don’t even begin to describe them.
