A long time ago, these kinds of votes among members of police associations would usually make police executives nervous about keeping their jobs.

But like a lot of things that have been done to death, “no confidence” votes in chiefs or sheriffs from line personnel are greeted with yawns.

If you Google “police, no confidence vote,” it’s pretty easy to determine just how common and frequent these symbolic protests are.

There are literally hundreds of these no-confidence polls taken every day.

Among other places like Auburn, Texas; Morgan State University; Barre, Massachusetts; Washington D.C.; Dallas, and Santa Ana, California, sheriff’s deputies in Bexar County, Texas, have recently released the results from yet another no-confidence vote.
