If you’ve ever watched a sheep shepherd use a series of whistles to make the sheep dog move the herd with expert precision, you know just how valuable dogs can be.
In police work, dogs are critical.
They do things like chase down bad guys, sniff out illicit narcotics, and use their superior sense of smell to let human handlers know where a bomb is located.
But generally speaking, police dogs are usually the biggest and scariest breeds—like German Shepherds or Rotweillers.
