In 2007, Bruce was named the Small Business Administration (SBA) Small Business Person of the Year.

After completing his Business Administration studies at Texas State University in San Marcos, Texas, Bruce worked in sales for Motorola before launching his first company. In addition to Safety Vision, Bruce is an investor in several other profitable business enterprises.

Today, Bruce is a member of the Young President’s Organization and an active supporter of several philanthropic causes including the Texas Children’s Hospital, St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, Public Broadcasting Service (PBS), and the Houston Food Bank.
