The NYPD released surveillance video Tuesday showing the cruel suspect who they believe set fire to a 35-year-old Scottish tourist wearing traditional Muslim garb in Midtown.
The victim was window-shopping outside a pricey Fifth Ave. boutique Saturday around 9 p.m. when she noticed the sleeve of her blouse was smoldering, police said.
As the stunned woman patted out the flames, she saw the suspect standing next to her with a lighter in his hand, police said.
The sicko then casually sauntered off down E. 54th St.
The video shows the suspect — whose race is unclear — wearing a backward baseball cap, a black tank top, black pants and black and white shoes and swinging his arms as he walks along a sidewalk with a group of people.
The NYPD Hate Crime Task Force is investigating to see if the firebrand was motivated by bias toward Muslims.
