VIDEO: What Really Happened

To fellow officers everywhere:

Below is a link to the latest video produced by the New York City Sergeants Benevolent Association. As well all know too well what the public sees on the TV/print media or social media does not always give the whole story. It’s moments like this where law enforcement looks to its leadership to educate the public on what our training teaches us. But in this case, like so many others, the NYPD does not get the support it needs and deserves from our leadership.

If you would like more information on what was involved producing and distributing this video please contact: Robert Mladinich, SBA Communications Director, phone 212-343-5674 (office), 917-204-5916 (cell).

Stay safe out there.

Fraternally,
Ed Mullins, President
NYC Sergeants Benevolent Association

I get your point, and it’s an important one. But the last part about the mayor not only detracts from the real message, but unfortunately raises issues about your own credibility: Either you have evidence that the Mayor wouldn’t allow the Commissioner to speak, or you don’t. If you have the evidence, say so; it would be important to know. If you don’t, then don’t resort to “maybe”; it makes you look weak. I’m on your side here, as a cop of 36 years. Offering some friendly advice.
