Van Dyken-Rouen was paralyzed from the waist down after a 2014 ATV crash and confined to a wheelchair. She was subjected to a full body search de- spite being approved for the TSA Pre Check pro- gram. “TSA works closely with the disability community to develop screening pro- cedures that integrate the unique needs of those with disabilities or medical is- sues into the process,” the statement read. “ . . . our officers did not follow cor- rect screening protocols when Amy Van Dyken came through the security checkpoint at Denver In- ternational Airport. “TSA’s federal security director has reached out to Ms. Van Dyken.”
