Other days, even if they’re few and far between, you just can’t miss. An Oregon police K9 re- cently had one of those rare days when everything falls into place. Spencer the K9 with the Clackamas County Sheriff’s Office recently successfully chased down three suspects – in 90 minutes. Someone get the Guinness people on the phone. An agency press release said that Spencer’s “rare K9 hat-trick” started around 10:20 AM. He was on patrol with his hander Sgt. Don Boone when they got a call about a car thief. Shortly thereafter the pair tracked down and captured 21-year-old Austin Kollas. That’s one. About an hour later Spen- cer took down Timothy Elmore, 41. He was wanted on parole violation charges and hiding from Gladstone Po- lice Officers a few miles away. Spen- cer found the sus- pect holed up in a trailer. Numero dos. Spencer was still breath- ing hard from the last chase when Boone got another call just nine minutes later. You guessed it, Spencer located and captured Lon- nette Denison, 36, after she tried to hide from deputies in a holly bush outside her Gladstone apartment.
