A man in Ankeny, Iowa, was arrested recently after threatening to bomb a McDonald’s for getting his order wrong.
The Ankeny Police Department said the angry customer, identified as 42-year-old Robert Golwitzer, became enraged after the popular fast-food chain forgot to include dipping sauce with his chicken McNuggets.
Sergeant Corey Schneden told WHO-13 that the man called the restaurant to complain and threatened to blow it up and punch an employee.
Golwitzer later admitted to his statements to the police over the phone and in an interview at the police department. He was charged with a class-D felony for a false report of an explosive device.
He was then booked in the Polk County Jail and released on bond.
The incident followed a similar one at a Starbucks, when a customer in Florida threatened a barista with a handgun after not receiving cream cheese with his bagel.
