The Culver City Police Department in Los Angeles County went above and beyond the call of duty this Christmas to bring holiday cheer and new bikes to a local family who fell victim to theft.
According to police, the family’s moving truck, carrying precious belongings, including the children’s bikes, was targeted by thieves, leaving the youngsters without their beloved wheels.
Upon learning of the incident, officers from the Culver City Police Department immediately began working to restore the family’s lost goods.
Recognizing the importance of the stolen bikes to the children, the officers collaborated with Culver City Target to obtain replacement bicycles and helmets.
Speaking about the initiative, a representative from the Culver City Police Department expressed their commitment to serving and uplifting the community.
“We understand the impact such incidents can have on a family, especially during the holiday season. Our officers were determined to turn this unfortunate event around and bring smiles to the faces of the affected children,” the spokesperson told KTLA 5.
