Officer Carma Butler recently spread positivity and goodwill throughout the Jonesboro, Arkansas, community after performing a touching act of kindness.
On May 3, Butler responded to a hit-and-run accident involving a citizen on his bike. While the victim was thankfully unharmed, his bike was completely destroyed following the incident.
After discovering the bicycle was his only mode of transportation, Butler felt compelled to give back, so she purchased the victim a brand-new bike with her own money.
“Patrolman Butler went to a local store and, with her own money, purchased a replacement bike and presented it to him,” the department said on Facebook. “We commend Patrolman Butler for this act of kindness and compassion! We truly are better together!”
Well done, Officer Butler!
