Two suspects in Georgia failed in their futile attempt to flush a large amount of marijuana down the toilet as officers raided their home on October 20.
According to the Clayton County Police Department, officers with the narcotics and SWAT teams executed a search warrant for a home in Jonesboro, located 20 miles from Atlanta, as part of an ongoing investigation.
During the raid, officers seized 41.1 pounds of marijuana, a significant amount of which was found blocking a toilet. They also seized 1 pint of promethazine, 35 grams of mushrooms, 29 grams of oxycodone, a rifle, five handguns, cash and other drug paraphernalia.
Photos posted by Clayton County police on Facebook showed the marijuana buds floating in a toilet bowl and other confiscated items. Both suspects were taken into custody.
On the same day, Clayton County police also discovered nearly 200 pounds of marijuana in a Mercedes-Benz van while responding to a silent alarm.
